Arrowood Golf Course
Arrowood features a quirky, often short design that makes it an interesting play that definitely improves with local knowledge availability.
For newbies to the course, the designers were nice enough to include plates on the tees that show the layout of the hole you are on.
According to many reviews, the course is almost always in good shape and it clear from the minute you step onto the course that the views are going to be nice.
It is often said there is almost a country club feel to Arrowood and the staff that we encountered did nothing to take away from that perception.
The great rates you get here do come with a bit of a sacrifice. The sacrifice being the ball marks strewn about the greens. While they do hold the ball well, it appears as if each of those holds costs the green an irreplaceable chunk of itself.
You would think that a "quirky" course with an interesting design like Arrowood would warrant the purchase of a yardage book. Well, you should save the $3.50 since the book somehow manages to leave out several trouble areas throughout the course rendering it essentially useless.
